Kits News - 15th December 2023
The Kits have had a wonderful last week of term and we have had so much fun getting into the Christmas spirit. The children have been making Christmas stockings in Art and we have had lots of exciting conversations with the Kits about their Christmas plans. The Role-Play Area continues to be popular in its set up as a ‘Christmas Home Corner’ and the children have been busy decorating the tree as well as making delicious festive meals in the kitchen.
We loved our Christmas Party on Wednesday where ‘Fred the Elf’ came to visit the nursery! We were very excited to watch his magic show and he made us laugh when he got things wrong. He also did a funny puppet show with Father Christmas and his not so helpful reindeer ‘Smelly’ who delivered all the presents to the wrong children! It was a good job that Father Christmas was there to help sort it out. We also loved the parachute that ‘Fred the Elf’ brought. The children were very good at listening to his instructions to hold the edge of the parachute and shook it gently and then fast! Once they did that they had turns to crawl on top of the parachute before lying underneath it, which was great fun as it went up and down.
Finally, on Thursday at the end of the term, we were very excited and proud to have our families and friends come and watch us in our Nativity Play in the church. The children in the Kits were cast as ‘Shepherds’ and ‘Angels’ and they looked wonderful dressed up in their costumes. They sat on the stage beautifully and sang their songs with gusto. We are very proud of all of them and we wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
