What a busy week we have had! In the lead up to the big finalé we took part in our Nativity dress rehearsal which was also filmed and performed infront of the pensioners who attend Dew Drop Inn every Tuesday.
A few times a term the children attend Dew Drop Inn to interact with the pensioners through various games or activities such as weaving, so it was wonderful to have them come and watch us perform. It was also a great experience to perform in front of a live audience before the big day on Thursday which went stupendously. We are all so very proud of the children for how well they learned their lines, overcame any initial stage fright and sung and performed with such confidence! What a marvellous show it was with some outstanding (if I do say so myself) reworded songs such as ‘Proud Mary’ by Tina Turner and ‘I’m Still Standing’ by Elton John.
The end of the Autumn term would not have been complete without a wonderful Christmas party and a visit from Fred the Elf. The children laughed, danced and had a merry old time. The children enjoyed having their hard work this term sent home and were proud to gift the presents they had work so hard to make for their parents. It truly is a magical time of year.
We wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
