Squirrels News - 26th May 2023

This week the Squirrels celebrated the opening of their Art exhibition so we spent a lot of the week adding the final touches to our masterpieces be it using acrylic paint or finishing off our 3D work and adding the final touches to our 345 sensory garden.

Around the classroom the children added famous pieces of art to the dolls house, built puzzles, practised letter writing, continued word building and explored colour and shape patterns. In Dance with Miss Jade the children had a great time exploring under the sea as mermaids and mermen.

When Friday arrived it was time to welcome our loved ones in to see our exhibit. Everyone was so excited and the grownups were very complementary. You could see just how much effort the children had put into their work and we were all blown away by their hard work. Once our Art exhibition had finished we reflected on the pieces we had created and how hard everyone had worked before it was time to head out on our walk for Paw Patrol on a Stroll and what a lovely day it was for it. For the first time this year no wellies or waterproofs were required! Once we had completed our laps around the common we went on a hunt for some of the Paw Patrol characters. It has been a truly amazing week.
