Squirrels News - 5th July 2024
It has been a glorious week with the Squirrels as we celebrated our final week together as the class of 2024. The children enjoyed many of their favourite activities this week from the marble run and dressing up, to Lego and everything in between. In our Literacy Focus Time we have been thinking about things we are looking forward to in our new schools as we continue to look at and explore various transition books and the school Role Play Area.
After all of our rehearsals the time finally came for our Leavers Show. It was full of mixed emotions but the children gave an outstanding performance with everyone saying their lines and singing the songs with gusto. We were extremely proud of everyone. The Leavers concert was not the final hoorah however as we had a class party on the Friday to celebrate the school year and the children’s many individual and collective achievements. We played lots of party games such as musical statues before enjoying party food as we listened to music and took part in wonderful discussions.
It is bitter sweet to be saying goodbye to this year's Squirrels. We have had an amazing time and we will miss them but we know they are ready for their next adventure at big school. To quote one of our leavers songs “Nursery set us up for the journeys we were about to take.We will miss 345 and they will miss us too but we will always be connected."
Good luck Squirrel Class of 2024!
